SUNNYNOOK TRANSMISSION PROJECT
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The approved Sunnynook Transmission Project (the Project) is located approximately nine kilometres (km) northeast of Sunnynook, Alberta. The Project will connect a customer’s new generation facility to the electrical grid.
The Project will consist of constructing approximately 4.5 km of single-circuit 240 kilovolt (kV) transmission line (to be called 9LA24) which will connect to the customer’s substation to the existing 240 kV transmission line 9L24 in a T-tap configuration.
The Project also requires modifications to existing transmission line 9L24 to accommodate the T-tap connection of proposed transmission line 9LA24.
