OYEN WIND TRANSMISSION PROJECT
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The proposed Oyen Wind Transmission Project (the Project) is located approximately seven kilometres (km) northwest of Oyen, Alberta. The Project will connect a customer’s new generation facility to the electrical grid.
The Project will consist of constructing approximately six (6) kilometres (km) of single-circuit 240 kilovolt (kV) transmission line (to be called 9L26) along the unused eastside of existing steel lattice structures as well as completing alterations to the existing 959S Lanfine substation. The Project also consists of constructing approximately 4.7 km of single-circuit 240 kV transmission line (to be called 9LA26) which will connect the customer’s substation to the proposed 9L26 transmission line in a radial configuration.
